Are you friendly, compassionate? Do you have a heart for others? Considering supporting the Samaritan Center at Voorhees Inpatient Center by greeting family members and visitors coming to visit their loved ones, escorting as needed to patient rooms, answering/directing calls, and representing Samaritan.

The Samaritan Center is open 7 days a week. Volunteers typically work one or more 3-hour shifts per week. Shifts: 8-11a, 11a-2p, 2-5p.

No experience necessary, however strong customer service and phone skills are helpful.

We ask that all volunteers bring the following qualities to their work at Samaritan: good communication and listening skills, a nonjudgmental attitude, reliability, flexibility, and compassion.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum Age: 17
• One-year commitment
• Volunteer Orientation and Training
• Medical Clearance:
• Initial Tuberculosis test (paid for by Samaritan)
• Titers to check immunity for chicken pox, measles, and German measles (being immune not required to volunteer) (paid for by Samaritan)
• Annual flu vaccine
• Initial health screen
• COVID Vaccination and one booster (or physician-signed medical declination)
