Florida Hospital will soon be opening the BartchTransplant House on the Orlando campus. This house will offer transplant patients and their families a place to rest in an environment much more welcoming than a standard hotel. The ability to stay and eat at the house will also cut down on expenses (and stress) that families often face during the transplant journey.
The three-story, craftsman-style Bartch Transplant House - named after the family who made a significant contribution to the project - is modeled after the original Florida Hospital, opened in 1908. It is 21,000 square feet and features 24 private rooms, a large porch overlooking Lake Winyah, an amazing kitchen, laundry facility and common areas.
Transplant patients’ families will be able to stay in the house just in time for the new year.
