Volunteers Needed!

The Marshfield Child Advocacy Center (MCAC) is seeking proactive individuals ready to make a difference in the community and the lives of others! Our highest need is for volunteers to provide childcare during their visit to the center. Other possibilities for volunteering includes, but are not limited to:

  • Community outreach
  • Administrative duties
  • Special events coverage
  • Volunteer recruitment

Volunteer experiences are tailored to meet the interests, skills, and needs of the volunteer. We are open weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm, and as late as 7 P.M on Tuesdays. Everyone is encouraged to apply.

Requirements

No special skills are required, but it is preferable that you like working with children. Below are our requirements and expectations:

  • Complete application
  • Background check
  • Up-to-date immunizations
  • Health Assessment
  • Interview
  • Age: 16 or older
  • 2 hour time blocks for volunteering
  • Volunteer 15 hours of service per year

Description

Youth Net- Youth Net is a comprehensive afterschool program located in Marshfield, WI. Youth Net serves at-risk youth ages 8-18. Programming is offered five days a week throughout the year with a focus on academic success, personal, social development and healthy active living.
Community Connections Team - Community Connections Team is focused on keeping patients well beyond the medical office. University students and community volunteers connect patients to community resources according to their needs.
Independent and Upright - Independent and Upright empowers older adults to maintain their independence by using trained volunteers to assess the risks for falling in the home through home visits. If key risk factors for falling are identified, volunteers assist in connecting individuals to community resources to improve home safety. The program is available in Lincoln County, WI.
