The Plant Exchange, an Oakland-based community non-profit, seeks a talented videography volunteer to shoot and edit footage of our 2017 Sustainable Urban Gardening Speaker Series and our twice a year Plant Exchange in October and March.

These videos will be shared on YouTube and our website. We are also looking to have the footage edited for a crowfunding campaign. Have fun, use your video skills for a good cause, and help us expand our education program!

The Sustainable Urban Gardening Speaker events are held Feb. - Sept. on the 2 nd Sat. of the month from 2-4pm at 4500 Lincoln Ave. in Oakland. You need to have your own video equipment and editing/production software.

Each workshop is led by an experienced professional who demonstrates gardening, conservation and recycling through repurposing, and re-use of garden related material. Examples include gray water recycling, natural pest management, composting, and bay-friendly gardening.

The volunteer opportunities includes free admission to each event and a professional reference.
