Looking for an opportunity for your organization to volunteer as a group? We have those opportunities right here!

Stipulations:

Must complete a group volunteer application and be approved by the volunteer coordinator prior to beginning service

Must submit application at least two weeks prior to volunteer outing

Must have a date chosen on an approved weekend or weekday: Monday-Friday 9am-2pm, Saturday 9am-1pm, no more than 2 hours per date, limit of 6 people per group

If any member is under the age of 16, a parent or guardian must be present at all times during the period of volunteering. The parent or guardian counts as one of the 6 members of the group.

Mission Statement

We provide shelter and veterinary care to lost, unwanted and abandoned animals until they can be placed in a kind and loving home where they will be cared for in a safe and humane environment for the rest of their natural lives. We also seek to improve the community as a whole by educating the public about the importance of spaying and neutering in order to prevent undesired breeding and minimize the need for euthanasia, and by promoting the adoption of animals as pets from pounds, shelters and animal rescue groups rather than supporting inhumane puppy and kitten mills, which contribute to the problem of overpopulation of domestic animals.

We are a volunteer, nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing lost, unwanted and abandoned pets. We are also home to southern Illinois' first low-cost spay/neuter clinic.http://www.stfrancis-care.org/
