Share your grant writing and researching talents with Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park. We are looking for those either with expertise or willingness to become expert at discovering and submitting grants on behalf of the Friends group. We will be seeking grants for events, restoration, trails projects and organizational capacity. You will collaborate with a small team including the Executive Director of the organization.

Mission Statement

The Mission of Friends is to support, enhance and promote Lake Sammamish State Park ("Park"). Friends works in support of and in cooperation with the Washington State Parks Commission to create, maintain, and celebrate a highly successful park, including: Promotion of and/or advocacy for: • Implementation of improvements, consistent with the Park’s Redevelopment and Restoration Concept Plan or most current Park master plan, • A wide variety of year-round uses, current and new, • Active and passive education opportunities--historical, environmental, and cultural, etc., • Park events, • Broad community involvement and investment, • Donations and sponsorships, and • Volunteer efforts. Improving and/or Expanding: • Park visitation, • Conditions of the grounds and amenities, • Visitor experiences, • Environmental conditions and natural resources, • Park-generated revenue • Recreation opportunities, and • Communication with the local and regional community.
