CARE rescues dogs facing euthanasia in animal shelters and finds a loving forever home for the dogs. CARE holds weekly adoption stands for the public to meet our adoptable dogs. Assistance is needed setting up for the adoption stand, caring for the dogs during the adoption stand, helping interested families meet the dogs and take down at the end of the event. Requires 4 hours of your time on Saturdays or Sundays, 10:30-2:30, 1-4 times per month. Must be able to handle dogs of various sizes including lifting small dogs and must have good people skills to interact with interested adopters. Training and orientation will be provided during the event. 18 and older.

Capital Area Rescue Effort, Inc. (C.A.R.E.) was founded in 2011 in the Richmond, VA area. C.A.R.E. primarily rescues dogs in danger of euthanasia from municipal animal shelters.
