Our Task is a community of global citizens who are concerned about the future of the planet. We are an independent, non-profit that is run 100% by volunteers from all over the world. Our mission is to transform young adults into global thinkers and empower them to lead the next generation in building a sustainable future.
Our Task is currently in the process of transitioning our website from Nation Builder to the Wix platform. We are seeking a volunteer to help us transfer the information from our current web platform to the new Wix one. We would also like assistance with the design elements of the new website to help improve our look, layout and features. Our hope is to find a volunteer who has prior web design/development experience and is also a self-starter. Ideally, we would like to complete the website transition by the end of March 2017 but are open to discussing flexibility with the timeline. Long-term we would love to have someone to help us with site maintenance/ updates and driving traffic to our website. Volunteers should be able to demonstrate:
- Prior experience with web design or development
- Ability to be a self-starter to take initiative and work independently
- Calm demeanor and works well with deadlines/under pressure

Description
We are an all-volunteer organization consisting of young adults, mentors and other global citizens who are concerned about the future of Earth.
Our Task envisions a shift in global civilization in which institutional and individual values are redirected from unsustainable growth and consumption toward a mutually enhancing relationship between humans and Earth. To achieve this vision, young people everywhere need to know the harm humanity is doing to Earth and where existing policies are taking us.
Our Task is working to give young adults a voice and create a healthy and sustainable future. If we can begin living "Plan B" lifestyles, and get others to as well, we can be a real force for change and can create the world we all dream of!
We work to recruit youth and mentors from all over the world to collaborate on global issues; educate ourselves and others on respected international studies; develop a realistic plan of action to bring ourselves, our children, and Earth safely through the 21st century; and engage our parents' and grandparents' generations in intergenerational dialogue on the changes needed, especially changes within the world's culture-shaping institutions.
