Helping Link/Một Dấu Nối is looking for a graphic designer to support the work of our nonprofit through various visual and creative products. This role involves creating graphics for web, social media, email campaigns and print. This is an opportunity to grow your design skills through a variety of opportunities in this volunteer position.
Responsibilities:
- Design key visuals to promote our 31st annual fundraising event this October 2024 and volunteer/student recruitment.
- Provide a critical eye to designs and proof projects.
- Collaborate with other graphic designers and cross-functional teams (e.g., Communications, Fund Development, Event Planning and Web Team).
- Be open to the iterative process and feedback.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Possess strong and professional oral and written communication skills
Requirements: - Experience in graphic design and a link to your portfolio in your resume.
- Comfortable using Adobe Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign.
- Have a passion for effective design and helping the local Vietnamese community.
- Volunteers must live within the Pacific time zone.
- Must have access to your own computer with Adobe CS/CC. and/or Canva
- Driver's License or Legal form of ID needed for Background Check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
- Orientation and Training.
Weekly time commitment:
- Minimum of 4 hours/week
- Present - End of October
- Opportunities to continue as Graphic Design Lead Volunteer post-fundraising event date.

Description
Helping Link has been serving the Vietnamese-American immigrant community for twenty-five years. We provide English language, citizenship, and computer education classes for adults and seniors; job-site language training; information and referral services for our most vulnerable; and cultural events for the community. Our programs are offered in a bilingual context and in a supportive, family-friendly atmosphere.
