UCAAN is an award winning, grassroots cancer organization in Moorpark that focuses on the needs of cancer patients as opposed to research. We help anyone with any form of cancer, any age, nationwide! No one is turned away.
This organization was started by 2 time terminal cancer survivor Rachel Shur, who celebrated her 13 year remission date this year. :) She's dedicated and looking for others who want to get involved.
We are looking for people who CAN and WANT to commit the time through our organization. Only Serious People need APPLY.
We are looking for community outreach volunteers who will help us with event prep, promoting, connecting with patients and their families in the area. This is HANDS ON Work, so RELIABILITY is a MUST! Also these volunteers could be part of our event/program Committees.
Committee members are also needed.
These are all VOLUNTEER positions.

UCAAN is a 501c3 Organization
"While all of the other organizations are raising money for research, who is helping the patients? The reality is that while research has progressed and we have discovered treatments to prolong a cancer patients life, survivors are living longer lives with a worsened quality of life. There are more side effects that are making a cancer patients’ quality of life even more difficult. These side effects include but are not limited to brain damage, memory problems, infertility, degenerative disc disease, deterioration of teeth & jaw bones, congestive heart failure, and post traumatic stress disorder! "
Patients Need Help NOW!
This is United Cancer Advocacy Action Network’s Long Term Goal! To provide financial assistance to help survivors live a better quality of life - through chiropractic care, dental care, healthy eating/healthy living aid, gym memberships and more!
