The M Institute for the Arts (M4Arts) seeks a qualified volunteer tasked with founding, developing, and implementing fundraising strategies from the bottom up to help support our new organization and its programs. This is a formal though unpaid job opportunity to use your fundraising skills for a great cause in the arts.
We are seeking 1-2 chair positions: General Fundraiser &/or Grant-writer
Time commitment: 10 hours/week minimum and Sunday meetings at 2:30pm.
(In-studio and virtual work.)
Requirements:
Professional fund-raising experience
Intermediate computer and spreadsheet knowledge.
English Fluency.
Candidates must be able to work independently/manage small sub-committee group.
Interest in the arts a plus!
(Recent retirees and current professionals encouraged to apply.)
Most importantly, the right candidate will have a lot of energy to found this new committee!

Description
Founded in 2015, we are a boutique music conservatory and 501(c)(3) arts nonprofit located in Georgetown, Washington, DC. We believe that the arts are an integral part of the well-being of our community and that by promoting the arts we are improving society as a whole. We also recognize the impact the arts have on creating a better understanding and communication between various cultures. Current projects include music lessons, rehearsal space, instrument and sheet music donations, tuition grants, and free community classes. We're looking for your assistance in helping to build M4Arts into an even greater community resource!
