This role will be key to working and supporting staff and volunteers in the local chapter with anything regarding IT and technology. Duties may include:
* Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications
* Backup and store important documents for staff members in secure locations
* Image PCs
* Configure new machines to staff’s needs and transfer data back to new machine
* Perform memory upgrades and replace hard drives where necessary
* Help test and ensure network and internet connectivity
* Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service
* Answer staff inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems
* Set up equipment for staff use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
* Train users to work with new computer hardware or software, such as printers, word-processing software, email, and online websites and applications
* Assist with technical equipment set up at events
