Our innovative multimedia endangered language wiki dictionary has taken off (we have had over 130,000 visitors) but it could use your help!
The purpose of the wiki is to engage the Balinese community in revitalizing the Balinese language by contributing example sentences and simple cell phone videos. See for example: http://dictionary.basabali.org/Yeh. The wiki has a choice of interfaces in three languages and a team of linguists ensures the integrity of public contributions.
The Balinese wiki dictionary was voted Semantic MediaWiki of the month in Feb of last year: https://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Wiki_of_the_Month.
We'd like to revamp the home page and add in some additional functionality so allow for articles and stories to connect with entry words and to provide opportunities for users to add photos and additional text. No Balinese is necessary! We'll take care of the translation, but we need some wiki programming help.

We use modern technology to revitalize the ancient language of Balinese. Our goal is to ensure that the next generation of Balinese can speak their native tongue.
Description
We are a collaboration of linguists, anthropologists, students, and laypeople, from within and outside of Bali, who are collaborating to keep the Balinese language strong and sustainable. As with endangered species, the goal with languages should not be to wait until there are only a few remaining survivors and then place them under protection (i.e. make recordings of the last speakers). Rather, we should take the more sustainable path of preserving the diverse natural habitats where minority languages are spoken. This means taking a cultural, political and even economic approach to saving languages ... and starting as soon as possible.
