Matchmaking session connects volunteers with opportunities at Indiana Landmarks

Indiana Landmarks is hosting a free volunteer recruitment event on Saturday, February 18, 2017, to introduce available volunteer opportunities. The fast-paced event features an organized format in which quick conversations with current volunteers and staff allow participants to learn about the wide range of available volunteer options. Potential volunteers will have a chance to express their interests and ask questions.

Indiana Landmarks volunteers lead tours of Indianapolis and its historic places, usher and assist in special events, garden, work in the office and on special projects as they arise. At the recruitment event, staff and volunteers will talk about the training and benefits Indiana Landmarks provides to volunteers. Refreshments will be served.

The session will be held at Indiana Landmarks Center, 1201 Central Ave., Indianapolis. The center occupies a restored nineteenth century church repurposed as a cultural center with theaters and reception halls. Indiana Landmarks saves vintage buildings, revitalizes neighborhoods and small towns, and reconnects people and communities to their heritage through historic places.
