Senior Call Volunteers check-in by phone each week with 20 seniors, which helps to reduce social isolation and also allows us to identify seniors needing additional help. This volunteer opportunity requires great phone etiquette skills and 2-4 hours per week to check-in with 20 seniors on a weekly basis.
While most of the seniors we serve are coping quite well with all the social distancing requirements, they do miss visiting with their friends and community members and appreciate their Senior Call Volunteers! This has become a popular and important outreach service and our list of seniors wanting a Wellness call is growing.
Mt. Si Senior Center is a private, non-profit organization that serves seniors aged 50 and older who live in the Snoqualmie Valley. In normal times the Center offers in-person social, recreational, leisure, fitness and assistance to seniors with the goal of helping seniors remain socially and physically active and independent for life.
