2017 NCAA Women's Final Four

Dallas is excited to host its first NCAA Women's Final Four from March 31st to April 2nd 2017! With the help of our remarkable volunteers, we plan to make it the best Women's Final Four experience yet! Please visit https://2017womensfinalfour.my-trs.com/ to sign up!
Volunteers Roles: Volunteers will be asked to work in the following positions and may be asked to move to different positions throughout the course of their shift:

  • Tourney Town- Assist with managing the fan fest
  • 3v3 Volunteers- Assist with running the 3v3 tournament
  • Command, Volunteer, and Transportation Center- Assist with daily tasks and problems
  • Transportation Volunteer- Helping with transportation at the American Airlines Center
  • WBCA- Various volunteer positions
  • The Bounce- Assisting with 2,000 kids and teenager
  • Sixth Man- Very flexible volunteer position
Each volunteer is required to attend one of two volunteer orientations (March 13th or March 15th) and work three shifts. In appreciation for your help, each volunteer who volunteers at least three (3) shifts will receive a NCAA Women's Final Four Long Sleeve, Polo Shirt, and Cinch Bag. Mission Statement

The Dallas Sports Commission is a non-profit organization whose mission is to attract, retain and support sports and entertainment events that will position Dallas as the premier sports destination and have a positive impact on the economy and quality of life of Dallas residents.

Description

On October, 2014 the Dallas Sports Commission transitioned from the sports marketing department of the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau. Monica Paul was named Executive Director, becoming one of only four women in the country to lead a large-market sports commission. The DSC provides rights holders with first-rate event operations and services as needed for their events.

More than 50 future events resulting in greater than $428 million in economic impact are on the schedule for the Dallas Sports Commission, including NCAA Women's Basketball Regionals, WrestleMania 32 and the inaugural Elite Rodeo Association World Championship in 2016, the 2017 NCAA Women's Final Four and the 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball 1st & 2nd Rounds. National Championships in weightlifting, fencing, volleyball, boxing and cheerleading are also coming to Dallas.
