A Precious Child is a local non profit dedicated to providing children in need with opportunities and resources to empower them to achieve their full potential. Children and families shop in our Resource Center, which is set up like a retail store, for clothing items and basic essentials , all provided at no charge . Donation Center volunteers help to process incoming community donations and prepare them for distribution to families .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers in this role will help organize, sort and hang donations.
Welcome donors and help unload their donations .
Work in a team setting to accomplish daily tasks and meet the needs of our families .
Time Commitment:
Shifts are available between Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm .
Shifts will be scheduled with Volunteer Manager based upon availability.
We require a minimum service commitment to volunteer twice a month for a six month period.

A Precious Child envisions a future where every child grows up to be a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of their community.
Description
A Precious Child assists children and families facing difficult life challenges such as abuse and neglect, crisis situations, and poverty. We work with more than 300 agency partners throughout eight counties which include Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, and Weld Counties to identify children and families in the most need of our services. Our core initiatives help build the whole child, in addition to meeting basic human needs through our Resource Center, we also help children and their families navigate community resources.
We aim to bridge the gap in a child’s education so that they can become a secure, self-reliant, contributing member of their community as adults.
