Duties might include helping someone learn to navigate public transit, getting a family set up with library cards or showing new arrivals the bank or grocery store. Help educate family about maintain a clean and sanitary apartment. Provide some English leaning and tutoring. You might be asked questions about how the education system works, how to make a doctor’s appointment, rights and responsibilities, or time management, Obtain State ID’s for newly arrived refugees, Lab work at Kino Hospital and Refugee health screening, Shopping clothes for the new arrived families, assist refugee kids with immunizations at the health care department.

Disaster Services works to prepare and respond to the urgent needs of the survivors of natural and human caused disasters throughout a four state region which includes Arizona, southern California, southern Nevada and Hawaii.
