The purpose of this program is to focus on boys and young men who face numerous challenges and obstacles to success. They often have challenges in schools, communities, families and the Georgia criminal justice system. It is the commitment of the faith-based and neighborhood communities to jointly offer paths with a future that youth can then make positive life choices. This program is intended to offer young males mentors, develop their careers, provide youth with informative forums, explain about the Georgia justice system, offer youth employment opportunities as they gain the essential skills for gainful employment and life skills. Also, youth will be exposed to various methods of study needed to understand human relationships and to handle social issues and problems. They will develop thinking skills and competence in social criticism and action, so that youth can engage in decision-making and participate in activities, which improve human welfare. Youth will participate in activities to ensure support and guidance for projects driven by their thoughts and actions. Components of the program consists of mentorship and academic/career subjects.

What the program hopes to achieve:

  • Decrease delinquent behavior through mentorship
  • Increase youth engagement in career assessment and career development
  • Increase services and relationships in the faith-based and neighborhood communities through family support
  • Increase educational and employment opportunities
  • Provide informational forums and organized opportunities for youth and family members
  • Offer youth the essential life and employment skills for better choices

Program will also offer the following training methods:

Cooperative Learning, Storytelling, Direct Instruction, Gaming Design, Technology on Preventing Hacking, Brainstorming, Oral Reporting, Role Playing, Financial Fitness, Basic math, reading, etc.

Seeking males for mentor ship program for youth ages 13 through 18. Youth will participate in a faith based program entitled " I AM MY BROTHER'S KEEPER FOR YOUTH". Volunteer mentors will be trained in our practice and encourage to share your challenges and accomplishments. The mentors will provide services using a group mentoring format. Youth meet on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings for educational exposure and fun outings, conduct fundraising events or assist other organizations to give back to the community.

NCCCI operates Community-Based Programs that include I Am My Brother's keeper for young males, Words of Wisdom (W.O.W.) for elementary youth grades 3rd through 5th grade; Chritian Women's Job Corp. is a free educatioal program for women in the Atlanta community with a financial need to work; GED & Literacy Ministry provides tutoring o adults who are either illiteate, functioning non-readersm ir those who seek to pass the GED test.
