Looking to make a real difference in lives of others?
EVERY TUESDAY from 3:45 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. Glenfair Elementary distributes a 3-5 day supply of food to over 80 families and we could use your help!Volunteers are needed to support the distribution and clean up afterwards. We are really looking for someone who wants to volunteer regularly, at least two distributions a month. You'll greet shoppers at our food pantry, help restock, and generally be helpful to members of our community looking to get their food needs met.
Bi-lingual volunteers highly encouraged, we have families from up to 12 different languages come through our pantry. The location is in Outer Southeast. Thanks so much and we hope to hear from you soon!

Mission Statement
Metropolitan Family Service helps people move beyond the limitations of poverty, inequality and social isolation. We serve children, families and older adults in the tri-county area. MFS is dedicated to building stronger communities by providing services, connecting people with resources, and offering meaningful and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
Description
Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
