Mission and Vision
The mission of ReDefiners World Languages is to develop a compassionate community of global citizens, who are both economically and socially responsible, through world language and cultural enrichment.
Through mutual understanding and respect, our vision is to see the various cultural communities across the nation unite as one, spearheaded by the children of today; children who regularly participate in world language and cultural education as a normal part of the elementary curriculum.
The imminent role of the Board of Directors is to provide leadership and oversight of the activities of RDWL. The role of each member of the Board requires that members perform a balance of asking big questions, exploring alternative possibilities, engaging in real dialogue, solving problems and offering direction. The Board will rely on the systematic review of organizational activities through the implementation of policies, rather than by examining or advising on day-to-day decisions.
Expected time commitment ranges from 5-15 hours per month depending on level of leadership within the
Board of Directors. Members are expected to meet once per month face-to-face or virtually for a one-year term.
