Second Judicial Circuit Florida Guardian Ad Litem Program

  • 5 people are interested
Male

The 2nd Judicial Circuit Guardian ad Litem program is looking for strong male role models to work with our youth. The Guardian ad Litem program advocates for children who have been victims of abuse and neglect. These children are in desperate need of a stable strong adult to show them someone cares. The Guardian ad Litem advocate not only advocates for the best of interest of the child in the court and community, but they become a mentor and can be the person who changes the path of the child's life for the better.

Description

The Florida GAL Program is a statewide agency that serves as a powerful voice for abused and neglected children. The Program staff partner with individuals in the community to be a voice for these children in court. Guardians ad Litem are your friends, neighbors and co-workers who make a difference in less than 8-10 hours per month. Guardians are trained and certified to serve as advocates. The Program also recruits pro bono attorneys. It is the GAL vision to provide a volunteer for each and every abused and neglected child who needs one.
