Chicago Spark

We are looking for 1 - 2 students/recent grads or someone who can commit for at least 6 months who have/has a some experience in (or would like to learn) event planning and social media. We host the Chicago chapter of Spark events on the first W of the month held in downtown Chicago.

Primary tasks include:

  • planning event (speaker, ordering/pickup food, room setup)
  • coordinating other volunteers on day of the event
  • moderating social media

Ideal for someone who is a business/marketing/communication major and interested in learning about entrepreneurship. Other tasks could include membership outreach, onboading and introducing guest facilitator/speaker, designing media collateral, exploring catering & venue options, and finding sponsors. Volunteers will have an opportunity to network with cool creatives, learn the innards of Eventbrite, FB, MailChimp, & freelancing and have some fun!
