Play in the dirt, smell the flowers, and make a difference to Arlington youth!
4-H is looking for adult volunteers who would like to help elementary aged children explore and learn about the great outdoors. Partnering with Arlington County Public School's Extended Day, volunteers will assist staff to lead one-hour environmental education activities. Programs include searching for wildlife, investigating backyard habitats, scavenger hunts, and much more.
Sessions are held in the late afternoon during the work week. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with flexible scheduling. We're looking for volunteers for our programs at Randolph, Drew, Hoffman Boston, and Ashlawn Elementary Schools.
Volunteers should be over 18 years old and excited to work with young children, get dirty, and have fun. Experience in environmental education is not required--we will train you! Volunteers will be required to undergo a background screening.
