About

Play with drones, craft a rocket, and make a difference to Arlington youth!

4-H is looking for adult volunteers to help elementary aged children explore the wonderful world of STEM. Partnering with Arlington County Public School's Extended Day, volunteers will assist staff to lead pre-planned activities from the 4-H National Youth Science Day program. Topics include drone discovery, rockets to the rescue, maps and apps, and more.

Sessions typically run once a week from 4-5 PM for six weeks. Volunteers are matched with a partner to co-lead lessons.

This is a great fit for those passionate about science and discovery. Volunteers should be over 18 years old and excited to work with young children, support curiosity, and have fun. Volunteers will be required to undergo a background screening. No technical experience is necessary-we will train you!
