The Naomi Project, a program of Britepaths, needs volunteers to mentor at-risk pregnant or newly parenting women in Northern Virginia for a year or longer as appropriate. Mentors answer pregnancy and parenting questions; provide advice, support and counsel; share experiences; help mom find needed resources; and plan for a healthy future with her baby. Mentors give of themselves, by donating their time, kindness, compassion, empathy and skills. Naomi Project will hold a new mentor training on Saturday, March 4. Bilingual volunteers who speak Spanish are especially needed. In 2024, Britepaths is celebrating our 40th anniversary. Since 1984, we have provided help and hope to Northern Virginia residents facing economic crisis through programs to stabilize families, foster personal empowerment, and support the needs of children. Our life-changing programs equip individuals and families with the resources and skills they need to withstand a financial emergency and begin a journey toward lasting independence and thriving.
