Naomi Project mentors work one-on-one with at risk moms in Northern Virginia to help them have healthy pregnancies and establish healthy and nurturing practices for raising their babies.

The Naomi Project, a program of Britepaths, needs volunteers to mentor at-risk pregnant or newly parenting women in Northern Virginia for a year or longer as appropriate. Mentors answer pregnancy and parenting questions; provide advice, support and counsel; share experiences; help mom find needed resources; and plan for a healthy future with her baby. Mentors give of themselves, by donating their time, kindness, compassion, empathy and skills. Naomi Project will hold a new mentor training on Saturday, March 4. Bilingual volunteers who speak Spanish are especially needed. Please visit for more detailed information, and to retrieve the application form.
