Wear pink when Girl Scouts learn about breast health through a variety of activities and crafts. Learn about careers in health care and how to help those fighting cancer. Bring all the women you know to this event! Collect items to put in a chemo-care kit, which will be delivered to cancer patients.

Girl Scouts is looking for volunteers at this program to speak to girls in an age-appropriate way about cancer, teach them about careers related to health care, and to encourage women to check themselves. At least one planning meeting will be required before the event. Volunteers will get a free tshirt!

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

In schools and neighborhoods across Nebraska-from inner cities to rural communities-we are here to meet the needs of today’s girls.

Girl Scouts do amazing things. Our programs offer a wide array of activities that encourage girls to discover their full potential and to have fun at the same time.

Positive outcomes happen when caring and committed adults, volunteers like YOU, provide an environment where girls can explore their creativity and individuality. Girl Scouts helps girls define who they are and their place in the world around them.
