SURVIVORS logo
A wonderful volunteer made this logo for us a few years back. There are so many ways you can get involved with our organization. We will gladly collaborate with you and figure out the best way we can partner our needs with your skills. Let's work together today!

SURVIVORS' Donor Acknowledgment Wall needs updating! We are looking for someone organized, detailed, and available during business hours to create a beautiful donor acknowledgment wall in our lobby. This project will take between 5-10 hours, depending on the volunteer. Since you will be working in our lobby you will also meet many of our clients and may help greet clients, interpreters, and clinicians when they enter the office. Please contact us if you are interested. We will invite you to take a tour of our office before you apply to volunteer.

Description

Survivors of Torture, International is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to caring for survivors of politically-motivated torture and their families who live in San Diego County. Since 1997, SURVIVORS has helped more than 3,000 torture survivors and newcomer youth from more than 80 countries to recover from their traumas through a holistic program including medical, dental, psychiatric, psychological, legal and social services. SURVIVORS empowers torture survivors to reclaim the strength and vitality that were stolen from them by brutal dictators and governments. The specialized care SURVIVORS provides these vulnerable individuals helps them to become self-sufficient and healthy members of their families and of our community.
