Help support our community by ensuring all donors are are welcomed and donations are received and organized. Friendly volunteers are needed to greet donors as they're dropping off food, clothing and small household items (e.g. decor, dishes, books). Volunteers thank donors, help unload donations from vehicles, provide tax receipt, and begin basic sorting of incoming donations. By staffing our donation door you can ensure our donors have a positive experience with the organization, save the organization staffing costs, and help get needed items like food, toiletries and clothing to those who need it most.

High school students and adults welcome. Middle school students can also volunteer in this role with a parent or another adult to work with.

Interfaith Outreach's Mission: To engage the heart and will of our community to respond to emergency needs and create opportunities for all to thrive.

Since 1979, Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners has been making an impact in 8 west suburban Hennepin communities. IOCP provides both emergency and long-term solutions around food and clothing, housing, employment, child care, transportation, and connections to other resources.

More about our Food Shelf:

Hunger in the suburbs is not always visible, but it is no less real. The Interfaith Outreach Food Shelf serves over 250 households per week. 40% of the people served are children. The food shelf is a safety net and supplemental resource for families and seniors who live on low and fixed incomes.

Fresh produce is available and restocked daily thanks to donations from local grocery stores through food rescue initiatives. Staffed by hundreds of volunteers who arrange products to create a grocery store choice experience, the food shelf is attentive and responsive to cultural and dietary needs and essential family products such as diapers, cleaning supplies and personal hygiene products.

More about our resale store, Resale Select:

Resale Select is not your average thrift shop. Every quality clothing item, household good, piece of jewelry or furniture treasure is chosen with care. Since 2011, Resale Select has provided stellar merchandise at thrift store prices. It is a bright and welcoming place for the community to shop, donate and volunteer. When the public shops, everyone wins. Proceeds benefit Interfaith Outreach programs and services. Who knows, the business suit you don’t wear anymore could be the perfect interview suit to help a struggling mom land her first career job.
