Make Your New Year's Resolution to Volunteer - Kindred Hospice Patient Companion

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Gentiva Hospice

Have you always said this year I am going to volunteer and give back to someone in need?

Make this New Year's resolution stick by becoming a Patient Support Volunteer for Kindred Hospice.

Hospice volunteers are an essential part of our team, our patients and their families depend on volunteers to provide comfort and companionship during this difficult time.

Hospice volunteers are there to hold a hand and listen, read or write a letter, run errands or provide caregiver relief - stepping in when a family member needs a break. Volunteers are also there for family and friends after their loved one passes away.

Patient Support Volunteers visit patients at facilities or in their homes. Your visits will brighten a patients day spending time with them playing music, games or sharing stories.

Orientation and training are scheduled to fit your busy schedule. Our volunteers choose where they are comfortable to visit our patients at home or in a facility. Perhaps both. Visits are also done around the volunteers schedule.

If you are ready to get started on your New Year's Resolution, contact our Volunteer Manager today!
