Volunteers are an essential part of the Heartland Hospice Team. Volunteers help us provide support and care to our patients and their loved ones. Some volunteers enrich the lives of our patients by interacting directly with them and their families, while others prefer the office setting. Mission Statement
The mission of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as, support to their care givers.
Description
These volunteers are trained to provide support and help to our hospice patients and their care givers. Volunteers can serve our patients by being a a friendly visitor, providing relief care for caregivers, singing or playing soothing music, and by providing support to the family in the last hours of life.
