The YWCA is preparing for it's annual Day of Healing, held on February 13th. During this event, women in our community who have been victims of domestic violence and/or sexual assault are inspired through self esteem workshops, motivaltional speakers, being pampered, crafting, participating in activities that nurture their souls, and meeting other women who can relate to their own personal experiences. The biggest need for this event are individuals who are willing to spend time loving on and engaging children so that the mothers are able to get a much needed break to invest in themselves.
Should you choose to volunteer for this one time position, you will be working with our childcare staff person and 1-2 other volunteers during a three hour time slot you choose. The time slots you are able to sign up for are 10:00am-1:00pm and 2:00pm-5:00pm. You are welcome to bring a friend along with you to help out as well if you'd like (female only please). If you are interested in this opportunity, please email Tara Tuttle at ttuttle@ywcancin.org.
