Shelter volunteers work in our 48-bed shelter program, where they interact with residents and their children, assist with communal living, and provide supportive and appropriate responses to the residents' needs and requests. They also work with staff to ensure a clean, organized, and fully stocked shelter.
Volunteer Time Requirements: 4 hour weekly shift available between the hours of 9am-10pm, Sunday through Saturday.

Description
SafeHouse Center provides support for those impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault. SafeHouse provides free and confidential services for any person victimized that lives or works in Washtenaw County. Our services include emergency shelter for those in danger of being hurt or killed, counseling, legal advocacy, support groups, and especially, hope .
