Thank you for your interest in volunteering at SafeHouse Center! We have a rich history of providing exemplary services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and are in the forefront of efforts to create a violence-free society. We invite you to join us in this work. All gender identities are welcome to apply for all volunteer positions.

Support Group Volunteer Facilitator : Co-facilitators assist the staff facilitator and help create a supportive environment while providing advocacy and education for survivors who have experienced sexual assault or domestic violence. SafeHouse provides both drop-in and closed curriculum based groups. No previous group facilitation experience is required. Volunteers are required to be available for 2 hours for their assigned support group. Support Groups are based on need and availability.

Groups Available:

  • Jail Group [Friday 9:00-10:30 am]
  • DVGroup [Thursday 6:00-7:30 pm]
  • SA Group [Monday 6:00-7:30 pm]
  • Huron Valley Prison Group [Monday 6:00-8:00 pm] [Friday 1:30-3:30 pm]
  • Spanish speaking Group [Wednesday 6:00-7:30 pm]
  • LATRE Group [Fall & Spring]
  • Male Survivor Group [Tuesday 6:00-7:30 pm]

We do require 40 hour training be completed in full before volunteering with survivors can begin.
