THE ACADEMY OF ORIENTATION WORLDWIDE (AOW) of Mission Of Grace International, Inc Presents:
The IT Village Of Baltimore, an Information Technology (IT) helping hand to the refugees.
This project is meant to gather together refugees from every country regardless of gender, age, creed, language or ethnic background and expose them to the modern technologies of information and communication by way of training, which will inspire new desire for education, visions, dreams, goals, inventions, entrepreneurship, careers and quality jobs.
The refugee community has been suffering marginalization and discrimination for many years both in education environment and the job market.
In addition to the limited knowledge of the English language refugees have, many in this community have had little or no computer knowledge at all, resulting in poor integration and emergence in the major domains of life: academic, social and economic.
The IT Village Of Baltimore is launching a LOW Level Computer Training Program for refugees starting in March 2017 or earlier.
Volunteers to this program will:
1- Teach Refugees the basic of computer science
2- Ensure the smooth and effective progress of the program
3- Keep the attendance list up-to-date
4- Abide by the training procedures during each session
5- Report to the training coordinator
The Training Program will be held on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and some week days. Schedules will be negociated with volunteers.
N.B: Training Material will be provided.
