Flower delivery volunteers spread cheer to our patients and associates by delivering flowers, cards, balloons, and gifts. Tulsa Metro florists and gift shops drop off deliveries to our flower desk volunteers. The volunteers ensure that patients are still in the hospital before delivering all over the hospital. This desk is also a secondary point for guests and patients entering the hospital so volunteers assist with directions and escort guests when directions are confusing.
You can make someone's day by delivering a gift and a smile. Currently we need volunteers who can serve Noon to 4:00 pm on Fridays.
Volunteers should be cheerful and able to walk and push a cart for deliveries. This position does also require some light computer skills to look up locations of employees and patients. We are happy to train!
If you are interested in this opportunity or any others, please call the St. John Volunteer Services Office for an application or more information, 918/744-2198, or visit our website: www.stjohnhealthsystem.com and search for the volunteer tab.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Ascension St. John Auxiliary is to serve our community with compassionate care and quality support for the patients, families and associates of St. John Medical Center, St. John Owasso, St. John Broken Arrow and St. John Sapulpa.
Description
For more than 65 years, the Ascension St. John Auxiliary has provided volunteer services and funded special projects for Ascension St. John. Today, volunteers are needed in several different areas within four of our main facilities: Ascension St. John Medical Center, Ascension St. John Owasso, Ascension St. John Broken Arrow and Ascension St. John Sapulpa.
The Auxiliary also has a model Junior Volunteer Program designed specifically for high school students, with goals to promote a lifelong commitment to community service and encourage medical career exploration.
Volunteer opportunities range from assisting professional staff in their patient care roles to manning guest services-related areas like our gift shops, information desks and flower delivery. Ascension St. John volunteers also greet and comfort families in emergency and surgical waiting areas and help with the patient admission and release processes.
Proceeds from the gift shops go toward special projects of the hospitals, such as facility improvements and expansions, as well as technology like digital mammography units and the da Vinci surgical robot that impacts lives in our community for years to come.
