The Sexual Assault Crisis Service is now accepting applications for our spring Counselor Advocate Training class. This in-depth training covers the dynamics of sexual assault/abuse and its effects on survivors and their loved ones. This class is for anyone interested in volunteering on our 24-hr hotline and may also be taken for professional devlopment. Once the course is completed, we ask volunteers to commit to one year of volunteering two shifts per month. This class will be Wednesday evening from 5:30-8:30pm in the Community Room of the New Britain Police Department in New Britain, February 1st-May 10th.
