ORGANIZATION: National MS Society

Walk MS is a charity walk series that take place in over 550 locations with more than 330,000 people participating annually. We've been walking since 1988 and to date have raised more than $920 million to drive groundbreaking research, provide life-changing programs and guarantee a supportive community for those who need it most.

We are recruiting day of event volunteers to help in the following areas:

  • Site Set-Up & Tear Down
  • Registration
  • Rowdy Crowd
  • Event Greeters
  • Hospitality
  • Kid's Zone

Volunteering can be done in shifts to accommodate your schedule. Shifts start as early as 6:00 am and as late as 11:00 am.

We provide all our volunteers:

  • Free commemorative t-shirt
  • Free snacks and beverages
  • Shift times to fit your schedule
  • Opportunity to make new friends and connect with your community
  • Volunteers who register on-line can create customized on-line Personal Pages to tell the story of why you volunteer and encourage others to join the movement!

A back ground check is necessary for Kid's Zone and Cash Handling volunteers.

The South Central Region, headquartered in Houston, TX is made up of five states: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to join the movement is at the very core of our organization.

We engage volunteers at every level. Join an event committee, volunteer at a walk or bike event, advocate at the capitol, volunteer at our office, no matter how you choose to contribute, you are doing something about MS now!

The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to share their time and talent to help stop MS!
