Mission: Hopecam is a 501c3 charitable organization with the mission of using technology to overcome the social isolation of children in treatment for cancer. Recognizing the critical need for socialization with their friends and classmates, Hopecam seeks to bridge the lonely divide between homebound or hospitalized children and their friends at school using tablets, web cameras, and Skype.

Position Description:

Hopecam is looking for a Social Media volunteer to join our team. This is an opportunity to develop your writing skills and spotlight your social media know-how while working on projects that will help you gain professional marketing experience. Job responsibilities include creating a social media presence on all relevant platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.); monitoring discussions and comments on social media channels & responding to inquiries as necessary; creating press releases and publicizing news and events and assisting with updating the Hopecam.org webpage. This job requires a volunteer to commit 2-4 hours during the work week.
