Seattle Office of Emergency Management (OEM) mission is to partner with the community to prepare for, respond to, mitigate the impacts of, and recover from disasters. OEM partners with other City departments, County, State and Federal governments as well as the business community to recover from the aftermath of disasters. The more people on this city-wide team, the stronger we are together. We welcome you to join this effort to educate and engage the Seattle community.

This role provides disaster preparedness public education and outreach to the entire Seattle community in the form of training, presentations, tabling events and special events.

Position Responsibilities:

* Educate a variety of community groups on emergency preparedness
* Schedule and attend emergency preparedness presentations
* Transport preparedness materials and equipment
* Distribute emergency preparedness materials to the community
* May also schedule and attend tabling events for the distribution of emergency preparedness information
* Answer preparedness questions from the community
* Attend regular volunteer meetings
