Someone's Path to Citizenship Begins With You! - Volunteer as a Citizenship Instructor

ORGANIZATION: San Diego County Library - Lemon Grove Library

Volunteer Citizenship Class Instructors are needed at the Lemon Grove branch of the San Diego County Library.

Responsibilities include:

* Teach civics to prospective citizens using established curriculum, workbooks and materials.

* Help students understand the citizenship application.

* Conduct mock exams to prepare students for citizenship exam.

* Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.

Commitment:

* 3 hours weekly (class and prep time)

* 6 month commitment

Requirements:

* High School Diploma

* U.S. citizen, fluent English speaker

* Pass County of San Diego background check

* Bilingual speaker preferred (English/Spanish)

* Citizenship or ESL teaching experience preferred, but not required
