We need Site Captains for the Great American Cleanup!

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful recruits volunteers to foster unity and strengthen community bonds through beautification and improvement efforts across Hillsborough County. Any individual, family, school, group, place of worship, business or government entity can coordinate or participate. For more than twenty years, this locally activated community improvement program brings the power of volunteers and sponsors together to inspire change and build sustainable, vibrant communities.

If you would be interested in being a Site Captain for a cleanup location, total volunteer time is 6 hours of service. 1 hour before event, 4 hours during, 1 hour after event.

Site Captain responsibilities are to:

o Attend a 30-minute Site Captain Logistics & Safety Training meeting

o Be the on-site coordinator of a particular project for the day

o Determine the needs of the location and where to send volunteers prior to the start (maps can be provided)

o Pick up/return supplies to Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful offices

Day-of-Event responsibilities

o Arrive 30 mins prior to volunteers to set up a registration area

o Ensure all volunteers (including yourself) sign the liability waiver

o Provide safety instructions and distribute supplies/tools to all volunteers

o Take pictures

o Return completed reports, supplies and photos within a week after event
