Great Lakes Caring Hospice is looking for Companion Volunteers who will visit patients in local nursing facilities or in private homes.
The Companion Volunteer will provide companionship, play cards/games, watch TV, take the patient out into the garden area for fresh air (if you both desire), read to patient, etc. This is a companionship opportunity and there is no physical care involved during your visit.
Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends.
Typically, we ask that you visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week for at least a period of six months.
For more information, contact Doug Weinstein, Volunteer Coordinator, at 855-727-9111 or e-mail at email@example.com. We also have additional types of volunteering available. If you have a goal in mind, please discuss with Doug Weinstein, Volunteer Coordinator.
