Board of Directors- 1City Christian Academy

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Friends of MJHS

Committed professionals and current college students in all disciplines are invited to join the inaugural Board of Directors for the 1City Academy Christian Schools, a part of the total ministry of Kingdom City Fellowship (www.kingdomcityfellowship.org).

1City is a spin-off of The 1City Youth Project, which provided programs and services for more than 3000 young people for more than 25 years. In its new form, 1City will provide a quality Christian education for students in grades 5 to 12 in New York and New Jersey. Members of the Board are responsible for helping us plan every aspect of the schools' opening and once opened, the Board will assist with the ongoing governance of the schools.

Board meetings are held in June, September, December and March and can be attended in-person or via conference call. Additionally, members are asked to participate in one committee, that will meet via conference call as needed. As of this date, a give/get requirement has not been established but we anticipate that one will be established eventually. Our Board meetings are held in the CHELSEA/PENN STATION area of New York City.

This is an excellent opportunity to be intimately involved in the opening and operation of a Christian school that aspires to provide quality, Christ-centered education. Church affiliation is not required for this opportunity and the Board has no input into the faith-based components of the school.

Interested candidates are asked to send a resume and cover letter to kingdomcityfellowship@gmail.com. We will NOT respond to inquiries that come without a resume and cover letter.
