ORGANIZATION: ICAN, International Cancer Advocacy Network

This is an easy and fun volunteer activity for a very special annual event benefiting the highly acclaimed programs of our cancer advocacy organization, ICAN, International Cancer Advocacy Network, www.askican.org

All it requires is that you be willing to sit at our admissions table with other volunteers and sell drink/admission tickets at the outside entrances to the Sculpture and Wine Festival in Fountain Hills, Arizona. The event lasts for three days, but we are recruiting volunteers to work 4 hour shifts: 9:30 to 1:30 PM and 1:00 pm to 5:00 PM on Friday, January 13th, Saturday, January 14th, and/or Sunday, January 15th.

The only requirements are to dress for outside weather--in layers. It should be nice weather based on our weather reports! Plus greet all guests with a smile! You are accepting cash with the other volunteer at the station that pays for the drink admissions tickets that our event attendees receive.

"This is an event sponsored by Thunderbird Artists which celebrates award-winning sculptors from across the globe." Patrons can "view the world's fourth highest fhountain in the world while strolling through this spectacular arena of sculptures all surrounded by specialty shops, boutiques, agalleries, restaurants, and outdoor cafes" says Judi Combs, Thunderbird's CEO.

Your volunteer efforts will help ICAN continue to serve patients in all 50 states and 54 countries because the event revenue we receive from Thunderbird Artists is an important component of our annual budget.

Please call Marcia at 602-618-0183 for more information. We look forward to welcoming you as a volunteer! This is great for singles wanting to meet new people; for couples who want to work together at the Admissions booth; and for small groups of volunteers from area companies.
