We are looking for committed individuals of all ages to become part of the Bricklayers’ Community and support the building and ongoing growth of The 1City Academy Christian Schools ("1City"). 1City will serve students in grades 5 to 12 and it is our hope to establish a school in New York and New Jersey. Successful operation of these initial schools may pave the way for replication nationwide.

Bricklayers, through their selfless work, support the building of the school as well as the full gamut of services to be offered by the school (such as music/arts programs; after-school programs; sports programs and summer programs). Christian schools are often not eligible for support in the same way that public schools are, so part of the challenge is to raise money so that they can operate. Our personal vision is to raise enough money externally so that we won’t have to charge parents a hefty tuition so that more children will have the opportunity to receive a high quality Christian education.

Bricklayers raise money for our school simply by doing online searches through Goodsearch.com. Each time you do an Internet search using Goodsearch (instead of using Google or Bing), you earn a penny for the Kingdom City Fellowship (which oversees 1City). Both Kingdom City and 1City have a cadre of individuals raising money through Goodsearch, so all of the money raised by the 1City Bricklayers will benefit 1City. By June, 2017 we hope to raise $1,000! It’s important to emphasize that no money comes from your pockets!

Bricklayers also join our social media pages (if applicable) and help us spread the word to attract additional Bricklayers. Occasionally, there will be other online grant opportunities and contests that Bricklayers can assist us with to bring us closer to our $1,000 goal. Students who become Bricklayers can earn community service credit for their schools. Teams of Bricklayers can also "compete" against other teams (just for bragging rights y'all)!!

Because the Bricklayers’ Community plays such a pivotal role in the development of our school and ministry, each Community member’s name will be inscribed on a brick in church’s future building so that our children and members will always know the names of the people who helped bring their school/church from dream to reality! They will also be listed as supporters on our website!

Interested candidates should email kingdomcityfellowship@gmail.com to get more information on how to register as a Bricklayer and once received, can begin immediately.
