Position Title: Human Resources Volunteer

Area/Program Focus: Administration team, Human Resources

Supports: Human Resources Manager/Generalist

Position Summary: The HR Volunteer Intern will gain experience in the field of Human Resources by providing quality HR compliance and administrative support to the HR Manager/Generalist. This role will assist with recruitment by screening resumes and filing applications and EEO Forms upon receipt. The ideal candidate has excellent research skills and writing ability. Working with the HR Manager/Generalist, the Volunteer Intern will assist in creating hire packets, labels, and with general record keeping requirement. The position will also research avenues for great talent and at times be involved in assisting in career fairs.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain human resources compliance knowledge
* Screening and recruitment
* Organize and create hire packets and file labels

Success Metrics:
* Tasks and projects are aligned with human resources practices and regulations
* Hire packets and files are prepared and organized to the HR Manager/Generalist’s instruction

Core Skills:
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively and mindfully with culturally diverse staff and populations
* 1-2 years of office-related experience
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Maintain strict confidentiality of HR information

* Must complete a Live Scan background check that is paid for by Catholic Charities
* Must complete an online training in recognizing and reporting abuse
* Must volunteer at least 4 hours per month for at least 3 months
