Come out and enjoy a beautiful outdoor setting while helping to keep Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park clean and well groomed ! We can use your help removing litter from the park grounds, weeding and raking walkways, and gathering branches from trees that have fallen onto walkways. You might be replanting native species within the park, or weeding and tending to our native plant nursery.

The Florida Park Service's mission is to provide resource-based recreation while preserving, interpreting and restoring natural and cultural resources.

Description

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park has embarked on a long-term ecological restoration aimed at reestablishing and managing beach dune, coastal strand, freshwater wetlands, maritime hammock, and mangrove forest communities. The Cape Florida Project aimes to restore ecosystem function and connect a culturally diverse urban population with nature through volunteerism and education.
