Volunteer Opportunity
We are looking for tutors to assist adults in basic reading, writing, math, GED prep, and English as a Second Language. No experience necessary.
Training, materials, and on-site support provided.
We are easily accessible by the CTA Brown line, and have free street parking.
Tutors will:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring.
- Help students to develop new skills and reach their personal goals.
- Become a valued member of JARC's volunteer team!

Description
JARC is a key regional site for the Center for Working Families (CWF), an innovative program that is intended to increase financial stability among low-income residents in neighborhoods throughout Chicago. CWF helps families and individuals become more financially secure by providing clients with Financial Education, Income Supports, and Employment Services. We are accomplishing this goal through every phase of the job seeking process, from initial screening and overcoming barriers to one-on-one coaching and resume writing. We also provide one-on-one tutoring opportunities for adult learners. JARC's training programs target in-demand industries (CNC Machine Operation, Welding, IT) and occupations that offer family sustaining wages, benefits and authentic career paths.
