Harvest Hope's Greenville food pantry provides direct assistance to clients experiencing food insecurity. Every day we provide assistance to nearly 200 individuals and families. We have the busiest pantry in the state of South Carolina! Our assistance consists of a variety of well-rounded food including shelf stable items, frozen meats, fresh produce, bakery and frozen foods.
Volunteers are needed on a regular basis to help with sorting donations, stocking shelves, bagging items, and shopping for clients. Position is moderately active and may include pushing carriages, and lifting items 1-25 lbs. Positions are flexible during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30-1:30.
We also have volunteer positions for administrative assistance, helping with data entry and filing. Volunteers with computer experience and personal skills also invited to apply to become a client intake specialist. Client intake volunteers help us with the non-invasive process of obtaining required information and providing referrals to pantry clients. Positions are flexible during our normal business hours, Monday through Friday 8:30-1:30. Additional training and weekly commitment required for Client Intake volunteer.
